Mario’s decision
Mario wants the use of AI to be visible. He does not want an AI-assisted project to appear as if every part had been produced without assistance.
Mario — the human
Mario brings ideas, experience and critical judgment. He questions proposals, chooses the direction, reviews results and decides what may be published. His role is more than supplying an initial prompt.
Aik — Mario’s AI assistant
AI stands for artificial intelligence; K stands for knowledge. Aik helps with research, writing, design and code. Aik is a project name for an AI assistant, not a separate human identity. Its contributions can be mistaken and remain open to correction.
Tools and responsibility
Mario compared tools with a needle and thread: having a tool is not the same as knowing how to use it well. We also recognise the limits of the tool itself. We name Cloudflare and our other dependencies openly. “Developed together” does not mean we built the underlying infrastructure.
